Loving the skin you're in!

In my opinion skincare is just as important as a healthy diet, you mental and emotional health, and regular physicals. Your skin is the biggest organ on your body and it is the first line of protection. Making sure your skin is well taken care of can be the difference between soft supple skin and dry cracked skin. It came be the difference between looking 10 years older and 10 years younger than you really are. There are many skin problems that one can suffer from including but not limited to ezcema, psoriasis, rosacea, acne, skin cancers, vitiligo, and impetigo just to name a few.

In my heart I believe most if not all then conditions can benefit from proper skin care. For example, with skin cancers prevention is very important. There are hundreds if not thousands of protectants on the market. Limiting your sun exposure to times when the sun is not so strong is helpful. As far as ezcema, the importance there is to keep the skin moisturized. Dry skin tends to itch more and when you're scratching you are breaking down the barrier opening yourself up to bacteria getting into your body.

For me proper skin care is natural or as close to natural as I can get. I suffered from eczema as a child and my daughter suffers from eczema now. I refuse to have her on steroids and benadryl as a treatment, they don't work for her anyway. The best treatment for her ezcema has been concoctions that I put together myself. The next step for us is to slowly remove processed foods from our diet. That is another important part of proper skin care. What you put in your body also affects the outside not just the inside.

My goal is to educate people about the importance of proper skin care. Yes proper diet is super important and the two works great together. I am a work in process with the eating habits but I am very pleased with the way my skin is looking so far and the only thing I changed so far is what other use on my skin.
