Loving what I'm learning

Every day I learn something new about the skin and how to use essential and natural oils to take care of it. As a child I had eczema but as I got older it became less and less of a problem. I learned how to take care of my skin. Simple stuff like moisturizing immediately out of the tub and not bathing in super hot water. I instantly thought the same thing would work on my daughters but that wasn't the case for my youngest daughter. No matter how much I oiled her down and tried different method to treat her eczema, it wasn't until I took the time to study various forms of eczema and how different oil work with the skin did she finally start getting some relief. My daughters are the reason I breath and knowing that I can help one of them by simply mixing some ingredients together is amazing to me. I recently met another beautiful little girl that suffered from eczema as bad if not worse than my little one and it broke my heart to see how she was scratching her arms. I had just created a eczema salve for my daughter and I decided to give her foster mom a sample to try out. I saw the little girl a couple weeks ago and her eczema was completely gone on her arms and legs. That made me want to keep doing want I'm doing even more. She was so excited to show me her arms and legs. The combination of oils was the perfect combination for her but not really a good one for my daughter but that makes me research and create. It is my goal to have a formula for all the various skins types because what works for one my not work for another. My work is just starting and I am loving every minute of it. As I am learning the different skin type I am also learning different hair types and what oils work best for each type. My hair holds on to oils whereas my daughters don't. I can oil her hair and it will be dry by the end of the day whereas mines will be moisturized for a few days. Nothing about any two people is the same even members of the same family. That's why it's important for me to know as much as I can about the different skin and hair types.
